Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
This policy explains what personal data Ask an Estate Planner (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our comparison service, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR. It is provided as a clear summary and should be reviewed by your own legal adviser before launch.
What we collect
- Enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, postcode and the service you want to compare.
- Verification data: confirmation that your email address is valid, via a secure one-time link.
- Usage data: basic analytics about how the site is used, to improve it.
How we use it
- To show you matched quotes from BCEP-trained estate planners.
- To pass your enquiry only to the planners you choose, so they can contact you about it.
- To verify your email address and reduce spam and fraudulent enquiries.
Who we share it with
We share your enquiry with the estate planners you select. We never sell your personal data to third parties. Our providers act as independent data controllers once they receive your enquiry.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to stop contacting you, at any time by emailing hello@askanestateplanner.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Retention
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations, then delete it securely.
